Valley Baptist Church family,
 
As we head into Phase 3 of this interim journey, I want to encourage you to continue to pray for God’s direction and leadership for the church.  The first two phases have focused on preparing our hearts and understanding of what it means to be a biblical church.  During Phase 3, Valley Baptist Church will move towards making critical decisions together about the nature and future of this congregation’s life and ministry.
 

We have already voted on August 15th to move forward as a church and to elect five persons to serve as that Future Directions Leadership Committee.  At that meeting, we all nominated those we wished would serve on that committee.  The church members will vote at the August 29 business meeting to elect the five people from the list of nominees that are willing to serve on the committee.
 

I am truly thankful for how the Valley Baptist Church family has responded to Phases 1 and 2 of our journey. God deserves our praise. He has blessed the worship services and other church ministries during this time.  I am looking forward to seeing how God’s will unfold among us during these next few months together.
